The One-Week-Project: Make Yourself a Priority
Here is a suggestion. Let’s call it ‘The One-Week Project’. What if you made yourself a priority for a whole week?
Keep it simple, nothing too drastic, just one little thing you would do every day for yourself, or you could focus on doing an art class or other only course that’s been sitting in your inbox every spare moment you have. Cut cooking and cleaning to a bare minimum, ignore other people’s moaning and do whatever it is that you really need right now. Maybe you will do five minutes of brain training or seven minutes of Tai Chi every morning. Maybe you will listen to a guided meditation or an Italian course. Maybe you will learn a new skill for your business or go to bed an hour earlier. Maybe you will read one chapter of a novel every night.
Be uncompromising and do this every day for a week — just seven days. At the end of the week, review the experience and decide if you want to carry on for another week or try something else, or add something else. It really could be one tiny thing at a time.
Here are some prompts to ponder in your journal at the end of the week:
My commitment to 7 days of ____________resulted in __________
I am particularly happy that _________
Now, I want to ___________

Just make yourself a priority. It is not a luxury, it is a necessity and it is your responsibility.
